Terms of service

As a customer of Hyper O2 and by using the hyperbaric oxygen facilities provided by Hyper O2, you (clients and customers will be referred to as “you” in this agreement) agree to the follow terms and conditions in full:

1. Term: This agreement shall remain in effect for the duration of your use of our facilities at Hyper O2.

2. Disclaimer: Hyper O2 does not prescribe or make any conclusions regarding the efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for any specific purpose or condition. None of the information provided by Hyper O2 or contained on this website is medical advice. The benefits and uses contained on this website are suggestions based on medical literature. You should consult your doctor if you have any doubt.

You understand that Hyper O2 does not imply that the administration of hyperbaric oxygen therapy is intended to prevent or cure any disease. The claims, studies and articles referenced on this site do not suggest that the same result will be experienced by another person receiving the same treatment.

3.  Use of Services:  You are not aware of any physical conditions of which you suffer or have that would or should preclude you undertaking this therapy. If you have any doubts, concerns, or questions, you will, prior to undertaking such therapy speak to your Doctor.  In addition, you understand that it is my sole responsibility to update Hyper O2 regarding any changes to my medical status or medications each time I receive treatment.

4. Risk Assumption: You acknowledge that the use of HBOT involves inherent risks, including but not limited to

  • Lung damage or collapse

  • Injury or rupture of the middle ear due to fluid build up

  • Sinus damage - usually caused by sinus’s blocked by mucus or tissue

  • Changes in vision called myopia or near sightedness

  • Seizures

  • Lowered blood sugar in diabetics treated with insulin

You must inform the Hyper O2 staff immediately during your session if you experience any discomfort or unusual sensations.

The most common side effect during treatment is ear discomfort due to changes in pressure, similar to that experienced on an airplane. This is usually relieved by equalising the pressure using a technique called the valsalva maneuver. Any ear pain needs to be addressed immediately and it is your responsibility to inform us of this during your treatment. 

5. Liability Waiver: In consideration of using our HBOT services, you hereby waive any and all claims, demands, and causes of action against us, our employees, including but not limited to negligence, breach of contract, breach of warranty, or breach of statutory duty arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our HBOT services.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions and consenting to treatment you are acknowledging that you understand, accept and assume all of the risks mentioned but not limited to those herein, or any other complication, injury, or damage resulting from your hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Hyper O2.

6. Restrictions of Use: The following conditions are contraindicated for hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Hyper O2:

  • Pneumothorax - treated or untreated.

  • Severe or untreated Asthma

  • Eustachian tube dysfunction

  • Claustrophobia

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

  • Seizures

  • Pregnancy

  • Heart Problems

  • Congenital Spherocytosis 

  • Pacemaker or Epidural Pump

  • Fever

  • You have an infectious disease

  • You have symptoms of cold/flu or respiratory infection

  • Sinus Infection

By agreeing to these terms and conditions and consenting to undergo hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Hyper O2 you are declaring, unconditionally, that you do have any of the conditions listed above.

You agree to disclose any concerns, physical, mental or otherwise with Hyper O2 prior to any treatment. You accept that Hyper O2 may at any time, for any reason, request a letter from your Doctor stating that you are deemed medically safe to undergo hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

7. Payment and Cancellation Policy: Payment for our HBOT services must be made at the time of booking, if booking online. Refunds will only be offered for cancellations made 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

8. Late Arrivals: If you arrive late to your appointment you agree that your appointment time will be reduced. Your total appointment time will not exceed 1 hour 10 mins. Hyper O2 has the right to cancel your appointment if you arrive 20 minutes later than your appointment time.

9. Confidentiality: Any personal information you provide to us will be kept strictly confidential and will only be used for the purpose of providing the HBOT services.
